Terms and conditions for activities/rentals with Åreguiderna.

Participation and responsibility

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old or participate in the company of an adult.
  • When accompanied, a person over 18 years old is responsible for the entire group’s equipment and any damage.
  • All participation in activities and all use of equipment is at your own risk.
  • As a participant, you are responsible for following the Åre Guides’ safety regulations, instructions and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Mandatory and recommended safety equipment must always be used.
  • It is the participant’s responsibility to check the equipment before starting. Any faults or damage must be reported before the activity begins.
  • Valid identification must be presented when renting.

Injuries, accidents and insurance

  • Åreguiderna has liability insurance that covers damages that may arise as a result of negligence or errors on our part.
  • However, the participant is responsible for accidents or damages that occur during normal participation in the activity, or in the event of incorrect use of equipment.
  • The participant is responsible for their own accident insurance.
  • We strongly recommend that all participants have valid accident and travel insurance that applies to outdoor activities.
  • Åreguiderna takes no responsibility for personal or clothing injuries, loss of private property or damages that arise as a result of negligence, incorrect use of equipment or deviation from our instructions.
  • In the event of damage to equipment, apartments or theft, the renter is liable for compensation.
  • The option “cost elimination bicycle” covers damages up to 4,000 SEK.
  • For damages above this amount or in the event of theft, the renter may be liable for compensation up to the market value of the equipment.

Cancellation and change

Private customers (bookings under SEK 15,000)

  • Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the activity begins. After that, 100% of the cost will be charged.
  • Some products include a rebooking guarantee (add-on) that offers more flexible cancellation terms.

Bookings over SEK 15 000 are subject to our group and conference cancellation policy.

Bookings for accomodation

20% is paid at the time of booking. The remaining 80% is paid via a separate link or invoice 28 days before the arrival date.

  • 60–30 days before arrival: 25% of the total amount
  • 29–15 days before arrival: 50%
  • 14–0 days before arrival: 100%

Group and conference bookings (fewer than 100 participants)

Cancellation of the entire arrangement:

  • 60–41 days before the activity: ÅG will invoice 25% of the total booking value
  • 40–22 days before the activity: ÅG will invoice 50% of the total booking value
  • 21–0 days before the activity: ÅG will invoice 100% of the total booking value

    Reduction in number of participants:
  • 60–14 days before: 30%
  • 14–0 days before: 100%

For groups of more than 100 participants, the above terms do not apply. Please contact us for further terms and conditions for groups exceeding 100 people.

The activity has been cancelled

Åreguiderna reserves the right to cancel or terminate activities in the event of:

  • Fewer than three participants
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Safety risks or other circumstances that make the activity unsuitable or dangerous

    In the event of a cancelled activity, a rebooking or a refund of the activity cost will be offered.

Booking and payment

Åreguiderna follows the recommendations of the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) in the event of a dispute.

Payment is made at the time of booking.
Once your booking has been received, a booking confirmation will be sent via email.

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (GDPR). You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.
